Parson's Porch & Company is also a soulful company with a deep sense of practical justice, especially for the poor who congregate every day on the Church Street Kitchen .
David Russell Tullock personally companies with the poor there. He preaches a daily sermon (sometimes with words) at the Kitchen, where he shares bread and drink with about 75 - 100 poor people most every day. The people of Church Street know him as David.
We work closely with local agencies like New Life Church, The Salvation Army, and Cleveland Emergency Shelter to insure that the basic needs of the homeless and scattered people of Cleveland have their basics needs met.
We asked two questions: How are you doing? and What do you need? Then, we listen to see what their needs are and we meet them.
We use our profits from publishing books to provide poor people with everyday needs like: socks and shoes, underpants and tee shirts, tents and ponchos, britches and shirts, towels and washcloths, shaving cream and razors, Laundry quarters and bus tickets, soap and shampoo, Vienna sausage and potted meat, toilet papers and wipes, Toothpaste and tooth brushes, Q-tips and facial tissue, ball caps and hair brush, canned fruit and pudding, Haircuts and postage stamps.
