About the Series

Parson's Porch Books is proud to publish this series of books of sermons from gifted preachers in prominent pulpits across the country. We affirm that the sermon is at the heart of Christian worship and is an extension of the Word of God found in Holy Scripture both in spoken and written form.

Kathleen S. Schmitt is a retired clergyperson in the Anglican Church of Canada. She focused on images of the feminine divine in her Doctor of Ministry studies at St. Stephen's College, Edmonton. She served for six years on the Faith Ministry and Worship committee of the Anglican Church of Canada. She writes fiction, nonfiction and poetry, often relating content to social justice issues and women. She served for three years in a parish in the Diocese of El Salvador and oversaw a number of parishes in Alberta, BC and Manitoba. She lives in Burnaby BC with her spouse Ed.
