These memories, poems and observations have been penned over the years by a pastor's wife and former student of Carson- Newman who taught and ministered to disabled students, their parents and their teachers for over thirty years.
Our lives are shaped by our memories, so I have included the narratives and as our history is written by those lives that have moved us, the poems reflect my journey through those years of ministry.
I pray these stories and poems bear witness to the faith which has strengthened, sustained and guided me even in the darkest times, the assurance that "I can do all things through Christ. "
They come from a heart that has been wounded yet blessed, knowing that the pain comes from loving deeply.
