Jane Joyce retired from the state of Tennessee, and embarked on her second career, that of a Licensed Professional Counselor and director of the William Blevins Institute of Mental Health and Spirituality, Carson-Newman University.

She felt led by the Lord to apply to graduate school for her Master of Counseling when her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and came to live with her and her husband.  After the MS was completed, she continued in school and earned an Educational Specialist in Collaboration with Counseling and Education, and an Educational Doctorate in Administrative Leadership. 

This book grew out of a four-year ministry on Facebook entitled “I prayed for you today”.  It is hoped that the daily readings will bring the reader closer to the Lord and inspire them to delve into the Word.

The book is dedicated first and foremost to God, who completed rerouted my life to the riches found in living His plan.  Secondly to my husband, Steve, who has encouraged me every step of the way, and believed in me totally.  My mentor, Dr. William Blevins, inspired me to attempt that which I never dreamed, and exposed me to the joy of continuing to learn every day.

Special thanks to my graduate assistant, Angela Taylor, who typed her fingers to the bone on this project.

And of course, Peyton, Sweetness, and Samurai, my furry assistants.
